Welcome to the Llano Church of Christ
Meet our Leadership Team
A great grandson of the American religious Restoration Movement and a native Texan with several generations of Church of Christ roots, Troy hails from Singleton Bend on the Colorado River (Lake Travis) in the greater Marble Falls area of the Texas Hill Country. He was working for the USPS in Austin when God called him into the ministry by way of Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas. He and his wife, Kathy, have served Restoration churches in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Michigan. The Singletons are completing five years of ministry here in Llano.
An experienced businessman and commercial builder, Wade’s East Texas background also includes previous service to churches both as a deacon and as an elder. Wade was added to our Eldership in 2021 and also serves as a teacher in our church education program. He and his wife, Ginger, currently work at the Cherokee Home for Children as foster parents for a group of teenage young ladies.
A native son of the Fort Worth area in the DFW Metroplex, Shawn has leadership experience in Christian Education both here in the United States and in South Korea. He and his wife, Janice, met while they were students attending Harding University. The Hulls presently live and work at the Cherokee Home for Children where he serves as Executive Director. Shawn is also an accomplished amateur magician. He has been an elder here since 2015 and also teaches in our Bible Classes.
A longtime Public School Educator and Coach, Mike teaches Texas History and is also an avid golfer. In addition to serving as a Bible Class teacher, he is one of several regular song leaders who direct the congregation in offering praise and worship to God. Mike comes from a family of church leaders as his father was a preacher and two of his three brothers minister for churches as well. He was appointed as an elder here in 2018.
Jamie is a respected leader in our Llano County community who served with distinction for many years as the Ag Extension Agent before recently retiring. He was born and raised in Llano where he and his wife, Kay, and their family are still actively engaged in 4-H and livestock shows statewide. Jamie also teaches in our Bible class program. He began serving as one of our elders in 2022.
